Ardell Bressler Memorial Scholarship Fund: This scholarship fund was established in memory of Ardell Bressler who retired as a high school English teacher serving the Clearfield Area School District for over 25 years. Mr. Bressler is fondly remembered by many of his students as a kind and caring instructor who had a positive impact on their lives. Plans are for this scholarship to be awarded annually to CHS graduating seniors who excelled in the subject of English throughout their high school studies with preference given to students who pursue a college degree in English related curriculums.
Arnold and Ethel Cameron Scholarship Fund: This fund was established by Carl Dale Cameron to honor the memory of his parents, Arnold and Ethel Cameron. The scholarship will be offered annually to graduates of public and private schools in Clearfield and Jefferson counties and also the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center and Jeff Tech with preference given to students who are furthering their education in the trades, mechanical or engineering fields. Recipients may also reapply for consideration for additional scholarship funding for their sophomore, junior and senior years in college.

Ava Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund: This scholarship was established in April of 2022 in honor of Ava Marie Evans, our beautiful ray of sunshine, who loved to share her infectious smile, laughter, and words of encouragement with everyone she met. Her beautiful light was tragically extinguished on December 31, 2021 at the age of 12, when she was involved in an ATV accident while visiting her older sister, Alli on Christmas break in Texas. She was in the 7th grade at Clearfield Junior Senior High School where she participated in volleyball. She loved her friends, cherished her family especially her older siblings, Alli, Max, and Madi and adored her bulldogs Rocko and Lucy and cat Rody Jo. She was an avid fan of the Golden Girls and especially Betty White.

BE THE KINDNESS FUND in Memory of Westin Cantolina was established by the parents, family and friends of Westin Cantolina in his memory. Initially an annual grant will be provided to a graduate of CCCTC Welding Program to assist purchasing tools and supplies. As the fund grows, other scholarship awards may be developed.

Clearfield Area High School Class of 1972 Scholarship Fund: Created by members of the Class of 1972 to provide annual scholarships to graduating seniors who have met their graduation requirements and have a financial need. The Scholarship Committee will be looking to award the scholarship to deserving individuals that may not have finished at the top of the class, but are good students who need financial assistance to continue their post high school education at a 2 or 4 year college or trade school. CRI / Reitz Theater Performing Arts Scholarship: Established in July of 2021, this scholarship will be awarded annually to a DuBois area graduating senior who has participated in a theatrical event at the Reitz Theater with special consideration given to a student who is pursuing a career in the arts or a related field.

Cunningham Scholarship Fund: This scholarship fund awards annual scholarships to graduating seniors of the Clearfield Area High School will be based on the applicant’s citizenship and compassion for others.
The DuBois Rotary Club provides scholarships to high school seniors selected annually by their Scholarship Committee to students graduating from schools in the DuBois area including Brockway and, DuBois Area HS and DCC.
Eileen C. Withey Scholarship Fund: Established by the family to honor the memory of Eileen C. Withey, this annual scholarship is for Curwensville High School students pursuing higher education in the field of speech and communications.

Evelyn Czarnecki Verbeke Memorial Scholarship Fund: Established in 2022 by her daughter, the Evelyn Czarnecki Verbeke Memorial Scholarship has been created to encourage and support women and men in Clearfield County to pursue and complete an educational program and degree in nursing.

Fred L. and Bernece C. Rhoads Memorial Scholarship Fund: This Scholarship Fund was established by the estate of Constance R. McGarry in honor of her parents Fred L. and Bernece C. Rhoads and will offer scholarships to students of the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center who will be attending the nursing program.
The Gerald Read Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his classmates in the Clearfield High School Class of ’73 to honor Mr. Read who died in a domestic terrorist attack. A retired military veteran, Mr. Read returned to civilian service working at a military facility and was responsible for saving the life of a co-worker during the attack that took his life. A scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who is an Eagle Scout.

The Golden Bison Alumni Association Scholarship Funds are designated to endorse and enlarge a previously established scholarship in memory of former Superintendent of Schools, S.F.W. Morrison. A scholarship committee, with approval from the Board of Directors, determines the eligibility, regulations, quantity, and amount of the scholarship(s). Beginning in 2021, the Golden Bison also accepted the responsibility to award the Harry Rowles Memorial Scholarship fund.
This fund was established in memory of Janet McCracken Hansard by her family to pay tribute to her life as a social worker and community volunteer. The scholarship will be awarded to an area student who embodies this same spirit of service and is pursuing a degree in social work or related field. This scholarship is open to students from Clearfield, Curwensville, Clearfield Alliance, Philipsburg-Osceola and West Branch High Schools.
This scholarship was established in 2023 by John L. Eamigh III and Peggy Materkowski to honor the memory of their parents, John L. Jr and Viola Eamigh. An annual scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating from Clearfield Area High School who is accepted to a technical or trade school.
Joseph and Mary McFarland Bishop Scholarship Fund: Established in 2021, this scholarship fund is to provide scholarships to students pursuing a career in nursing or other healthcare related fields. Scholarships may be awarded to both graduating high school seniors (who may also re-apply for additional funding for their 2nd year in college) and to adults returning to college or employee training that need financial assistance.

The 2025 Recipient of the Scipione Family Scholarship is Tristin Tuck – graduate of Curwensville Area High School who will be attending Penn State to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Scott Beers Memorial Scholarship Fund: This scholarship fund was established by Gordon and Valerie Beers along with the family and friends of Scott Beers to honor his memory. Scott was a 2017 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School where he was a member of the Black Knights football and wrestling teams. He was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends hunting and riding ATVs. His proudest accomplishment was realizing his dream to work as an Apprentice Lineman for Penelec as a member of IBEW Local 459. Plans are for this scholarship to be awarded annually to students who are looking to go into the trades with special consideration given to those in financial need.

Shirley Ann McKee Memorial Scholarship Fund: This Scholarship Fund established by John E. McKee in memory of this deceased wife, Shirley Ann McKee. Annual scholarships will be awarded to graduates of both Clearfield Area High School and Curwensville High School.

The T-Harp Scholarship was established by the Harpster family to honor the memory of Taylor Harpster who died tragically in a traffic accident on Dec. 26, 2018. Applicants must be students at Philipsburg-Osceola and display Taylor’s positive attitude and characteristics. This includes being involved with extracurricular activities at the school and the community, as well as being a hard worker, a good student, and “an uncommon hero”.

Donate to John L. Jr and Viola Eamigh Memorial ScholarshipThis scholarship was established in 2023 by John L. Eamigh III and Peggy Materkowski to honor the memory of their parents, John L. Jr and Viola Eamigh. An annual scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating from Clearfield Area High School who is accepted to a technical or trade school.
Joseph and Mary McFarland Bishop Scholarship Fund: Established in 2021, this scholarship fund is to provide scholarships to students pursuing a career in nursing or other healthcare related fields. Scholarships may be awarded to both graduating high school seniors (who may also re-apply for additional funding for their 2nd year in college) and to adults returning to college or employee training that need financial assistance.

Donate to Marsha Novey Memorial Scholarship FundMarsha Novey Scholarship Fund: This scholarship was established by the Novey family to honor the memory of Marsha Novey and has a preference for swimmers from the Clearfield Area High School.
Marty Clarke Scholarship Fund:This fund was established in loving honor of Marty by her daughter Rachel & other family members. It awards scholarships to graduates of Clearfield Area High School pursuing a teaching degree.
Meghan E. Deininger Scholarship Fund: Established by the Deininger family to honor the memory of Meghan, this is an annual scholarship for high school students from Clearfield, Centre, or Northern Blair Counties who have Meghan’s epicurean passion for culinary arts and are desirous of pursuing a degree in this field or hotel/restaurant management

The 2025 Recipient of the Scipione Family Scholarship is Tristin Tuck – graduate of Curwensville Area High School who will be attending Penn State to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Scott Beers Memorial Scholarship Fund: This scholarship fund was established by Gordon and Valerie Beers along with the family and friends of Scott Beers to honor his memory. Scott was a 2017 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School where he was a member of the Black Knights football and wrestling teams. He was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends hunting and riding ATVs. His proudest accomplishment was realizing his dream to work as an Apprentice Lineman for Penelec as a member of IBEW Local 459. Plans are for this scholarship to be awarded annually to students who are looking to go into the trades with special consideration given to those in financial need.

Shirley Ann McKee Memorial Scholarship Fund: This Scholarship Fund established by John E. McKee in memory of this deceased wife, Shirley Ann McKee. Annual scholarships will be awarded to graduates of both Clearfield Area High School and Curwensville High School.

The T-Harp Scholarship was established by the Harpster family to honor the memory of Taylor Harpster who died tragically in a traffic accident on Dec. 26, 2018. Applicants must be students at Philipsburg-Osceola and display Taylor’s positive attitude and characteristics. This includes being involved with extracurricular activities at the school and the community, as well as being a hard worker, a good student, and “an uncommon hero”.
