During this Thanksgiving season, a time to share and give thanks within our communities, the Clearfield County Charitable Foundation Board of Directors announces the release of $186,995 in funding to 49 different organizations for community projects in Clearfield County. The CCCF Community Grant program, through the ongoing generosity of benefactors and donors, has seen significant growth since 2017 when a total of $16,935 was awarded to a total of $186,995 awarded to 49 different organizations for the 2025 awards.
CCCF Executive Director Mark McCracken said “Working with our donors, we’ve seen the funds available to award grow significantly over the past decade. We are also seeing many more organizations visit our online application site to investigate and file applications for the grant committee to review and consider. This year alone, we had over 70 applications started with almost 60 completed and submitted. The grant committee then diligently reviewed and scored every application and eventually recommended 49 grant awards to the CCCF Board of Directors which the board approved at their quarterly meeting in October”.
CCCF Board Chairman Jeb Soult added “It is the goal of the Charitable Foundation Board to distribute available funding to worthwhile projects in communities across Clearfield County. Thanks to our benefactors and donors, we are able to fund projects that will help groups in need while addressing specific issues that will ultimately impact and improve the lives of all citizens. Many of the projects are specific to helping children by improving community playgrounds, providing new computers or funding programs specific to the needs of young people”.
Grant Committee Chair Lisa Kovalick stated “Each year the grant committee works diligently to identify organizations and programs that will benefit the needs of Clearfield County communities and their residents. With the number of applications received, this year was both a challenge and honor. This year we were able to recommend 49 awards of much needed funding for the people of Clearfield County”.
