Charitable Foundation Holds Annual Meeting and Celebrates Release of Over $600,000 in Funding During 2025

The Board of Directors of the Clearfield County Charitable Foundation recently held their annual meeting to review activities during 2025 and reorganize the board for 2026. Of special note, the Board highlighted the amount of funding awarded to communities, organizations and individuals during 2025 which totaled $603,180, up from $536,316 in 2024. CCCF Board Chairman Jeb Soult said “The amount of funding awarded to Clearfield County projects, organizations and individuals continues to grow every year. These funds going out to worthwhile projects and causes is having an immediate and lasting positive impact on our communities”.
CCCF Board Vice Chair John Harpster stated, “the funding going out every year is helping our young people afford college and technical schools through scholarships, bringing improvements to many communities through the grant program and helps sustain valuable and needed community organizations through annual endowment distributions”.
CCCF Executive Director Mark McCracken added “we greatly appreciate all the organizations, families and individuals who work with us to establish their endowment and scholarship funds along with the donors who made generous donations during 2025. It is through their commitment and generosity that such a substantial amount is awarded out to communities in Clearfield County”.
CCCF Executive Director Mark McCracken provided the board with an annual update of the individual funds and financial activity during 2025 as follows: The Clearfield County Charitable Foundation started 2025 with 69 total endowment / scholarship funds on file, 68 active / 1 inactive. During 2025, 4 new funds were created, 1 endowment / 3 scholarship, for a total of 73 funds, 72 active / 1 inactive, at the start of 2026. At the beginning of 2026, the total market value of all individual fund accounts is $21,679,644.70, up from $19,421,736 at the start of 2025. Donations collected during 2025 totaled $367,664.95. As noted above, a total of $603,180 was distributed to Clearfield County communities in the following categories: Annual Endowment Distributions – 18 payouts totaling $277,067, Requested Distributions totaled $18,200, Special Payouts including Food Bank Grants, Zentmyer Fund and Shop with a Cop event totaled $25,438, Community Grant Awards 49 grants totaling $186,995 and Scholarship Awards of over 55 scholarships totaling $95,480.
For 2026, the CCCF Board of Directors retained board officers Chairman Jeb Soult, Vice Chairman John Harpster and Sec/Treasurer Lisa Conrad and retained Vicki Myers of Mid Penn Bank as Trustee Representative to the CCCF Board of Directors. Other members of the board are Dana Beauseigneur, Maureen Gathagan, Lisa Kovalick, Shayne Lumadue, Jamie Straub, Joe Valenza, Lee Grace Valigorsky and George Weidlein with Mark B. McCracken serving as Executive Director.
