The Clearfield County Charitable Foundation will be accepting applications for the 2025 CCCF Community Grant Program from Friday August 1st through 4PM on Friday September 19th via the CCCF website at www.clearfieldcharitablefoundation.org.

The CCCF Community Grant Program has become a very successful funding source for community based organizations and municipal government groups to seek funding for important community projects and programs.    In 2024 the Clearfield County Charitable Foundation received almost 40 applications and were able to fund 31 projects with a total of $128,900 awarded to the approved projects.   Communities benefitting from the 2024 grant awards include Brisbin, Clearfield, Curwensville, DuBois, Glen Richey, Grampian, Mahaffey, Osceola Mills, Ramey and Winburne with specific grants targeted towards assisting youth outdoor sports programs and playgrounds, support for cancer patients, animal welfare and care, fire and safety equipment, community and downtown improvements, support for special needs programs and assistance for upgrades and repairs to community use buildings and facilities.    Including the 2024 awards, the CCCF Community Grant Program since its inception has awarded over $425,000 to projects benefiting communities and citizens across all areas of Clearfield County.

The Clearfield County Charitable Foundation Board of Directors and the Grant Review Committee encourage any groups or organizations that have a viable project under consideration for 2026 to file an application and note that having a 501c3 designation is not a requirement to file a grant application.    Organizations that are not registered as a 501c3 charitable organization can consider partnering with their local government or another 501c3 organization or they can file a stand alone application.    Non 501c3 organizations will be requested during the application review process to submit additional information verifying their need, purpose and legitimacy.    Organizations that received CCCF grant funding in prior years are reminded they must file their Grant Completion Reports for all prior funding before any new funding will be considered.

CCCF Executive Director Mark McCracken noted “Applications will only be accepted via the online grant portal which can be accessed at www.clearfieldcharitablefoundation.org as paper applications are no longer accepted.    For 2025, we are using a new service provider to process our online applications and, using recommendations from our Grant Committee, we have made changes to simplify the grant application.   As in past years, applicants will need to create a user account and password to gain access to a blank application.   Users can complete the application during their initial visit to the website, but they also have the option to save the application and return at a later date to continue working on it”.    McCracken reminds all interested applicants that they must complete and officially submit their online application by the deadline at 4PM on Friday September 19th.

CCCF Grant Committee Chair Lisa Kovalick said “When we review the submitted applications, the committee members try to identify and score the projects that will have a significant impact in communities while addressing existing issues that benefit as many communities as possible.  The Grant Committee then makes their funding recommendations to the full CCCF Board of Directors who will make the final determination on the grant awards”.

Those interested in filing an application should visit the CCCF website at www.clearfieldcharitablefoundation.org.   On the main webpage, users should click the button that says, “CLICK HERE AUG 1ST THRU 4PM FRIDAY SEPT 19th TO FILE A CCCF COMMUNITY PROJECT GRANT APPLICATION”.   Users will then need to set up a login using their email address and create a password.   Once the username and password are set up, users will then see the application instruction page and will need to answer a question at the bottom of the instruction page to verify they read the instructions and meet the criteria to apply.   Answering YES to the criteria question will then take the applicant to a blank application.   Users can complete and file the application during their initial visit, or they can save and come back by clicking the “SAVE PROGRESS” button and closing their browser window and return to complete the application at a later date.  However, the application must be completed and the SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION button must be clicked to officially finalize and submit the application by 4PM on Friday September 19th, 2025.   Once the application is submitted properly, the user will receive an email confirming their application has been submitted.    Any questions should be submitted promptly via email to cccfexecdir@outlook.com.
